Hokusai08 The Circular Pine Trees in Aoyama(青山円座松) / Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji (富嶽三十六景) by Katsushika Hokusai
The Circular Pine Trees were time-honored trees that had grown in Ryugon-temple(龍厳寺)precincts in Harajuku.
It is said that it had spread its branches to about as many as 5.6m.
Those who visited a shrine strolled in a vast garden in the temple, and appreciated this pine.
Hokusai drew the pine in the semicircle like a small hill.
And, Fuji was drawn in the big triangle extremely pointed out, and it contrasted it with the pine.
The feast is held while appreciating the pine and Fuji.
A detailed personal characterization informs us of social conditions at that time.
Scenery changed as follows now.
